When designing the temperature sensor installation, because the product characteristics and the installation location are different, you will encounter some problems when installing the temperature sensor. For example, the installation location of the temperature sensor will affect its corresponding speed, the sealing of the probe installation, performance, sensor installation and the choice of temperature probe housing material. All of these will affect its performance and service life. Only when the temperature sensing device is properly installed and the probe housing material is selected, the machine can accurately measure temperature.
Pay attention to the mechanical strength when installing the temperature transducer, especially the installation location does not allow moisture, so as to avoid the penetration of moisture in the potting port of the probe and damage the chips of NTC thermistors. In addition, in order to prevent the heat loss of the protection tube from affecting the temperature of the element, it is also necessary to consider the flow direction and the insertion length, shape, heat insulation, and heat preservation of the protection tube.
As far as the response speed of the NTC thermistor temperature probe is concerned, it depends on the material of the probe housing, the wall thickness of the probe housing, the thermal conductivity of the epoxy resin, the size of the NTC head, and so on. The response speed is different in water with high thermal conductivity and air with relatively low thermal conductivity. The difference between the inner diameter and outer diameter of the protective tube will not affect the response time.
In addition, it should be noted that when installing the temperature sensor, you should choose a representative installation location as much as possible, avoid blind installations, avoid strong magnetic fields or heat sources, and reduce the influence of external factors on the results. Moreover, the temperature sensor should preferably be installed vertically to prevent deformation due to high temperature, and the bending of the pipe is not a good installation place. In addition, pay attention to the hygienic protection and later maintenance of the temperature sensor to ensure that the sensor can work normally.
Two details are easily overlooked in the process of using thermistor temperature sensor. The first is its operating temperature, and the second is the depth of its detection. The working conditions of the thermistor temperature sensor element should be satisfied, including current. Because the thermistor temperature sensor has resistance, when the current flows through the thermistor temperature sensor element will lose power, and will generate heat. So, in order to reduce the heating caused by measurement errors and achieve the normal working conditions of the sensor, the thermistor temperature sensor is used in conditions where the current constant is small.
