But for different NTC thermistor precision grades, the impact that can be produced during use is different.
First, whether the temperature can be accurately measured
If the NTC thermistor precision is relatively low, it is very likely that the temperature cannot be accurately grasped when measuring the temperature, especially for those electrical and electronic products (such as thermostat NTC) that have very strict temperature requirements, once these thermistors' grade is relatively low, and they are used as a temperature sensor, at this time, it is very likely that the temperature information will be transmitted incorrectly, and some very serious consequences will be produced.
Second, it affects the accuracy of various instruments
In many important occasions, you can see some precision instruments, and these instruments have very strict requirements for temperature. For example: NTC thermistor is used as the temperature measurement benchmark of the thermopile in the forehead gun, and it not only requires high B value accuracy and good batch consistency, but also requires high reliability and good stability. The annual drift rate of negative temp coefficient thermistor must generally be controlled within ±0.4%, so that the temperature error due to its drift can be less than 0.1°C/year. Taking into account the calibration error of the two standard temperature points of the forehead temperature gun and the systematic error of the circuit components, the error caused by the performance of the use of NTC thermistor has to be considered. Products on the market with a B value accuracy of ±2% cannot meet the accuracy requirements of forehead temperature guns, and it is difficult for NTC thermistors with a B value accuracy of ±1% to meet the national standard. Therefore, in order to meet the temperature measurement accuracy requirements of the forehead gun, the accuracy level of the NTC thermistor B value should be as high as possible.
